Prompt nodes can now search the web
Nodes used to answer from training data alone, so anything that moved after the model was trained came back stale or hedged. Now the model can search the live web partway through writing an answer. It decides when to do that on its own, or searches when you explicitly ask it to.
Search results are cited in the answer. Hover over a citation for the page title and the passage the claim came from, or click through to read the source.
Search is available in prompt nodes, Milo and auto-expanded branches, and works with every model. You can turn it off in Settings under Preferences.
Web search is included with Promptmaps and Lifetime, and it is on from the start. Searching costs a little more than a plain answer, and each generation’s searches are counted in your usage. Open a map and ask about something that changed this week.
