Embed a live mind map in your Miro board

A screenshot of your mind map goes stale the moment you paste it. The map keeps growing, the board keeps showing last week. Embed the live map instead: your Miro board renders the actual mindmap.io canvas, teammates pan and zoom it right on the board, and every update to the map shows up in the board without touching anything.

What you get on the board

The embed is the real map in a chromeless frame. Anyone looking at the board can:

  • pan and zoom the canvas
  • expand and collapse branches
  • select nodes and read full answers
  • jump to the full map view with the corner button

It is read-only for viewers, served live from your map, and you can revoke it at any time by unpublishing the map. Every link and embed of it stops working the moment you do.

Embed it in 3 steps

  1. Publish the map. Open your map in mindmap.io, hit Share, and turn on public access. Anyone with the link can now view it; nobody can edit it.

  2. Copy the embed snippet. The Share dialog gives you two outputs: a plain link and an iframe snippet. Copy the snippet. It looks like this:

  3. Paste it into Miro. In your Miro board, look for Paste iFrame code under the upload options, paste the snippet, and place the frame wherever it belongs on the board.

That is the whole flow. No plugin to install, no account linking.

Open on the branch that matters

The snippet can carry a view anchor. Select the node you want viewers to land on before copying, and the embed opens framed on that node at your chosen zoom level. Useful when the board is about one decision and the map covers ten.

Works beyond Miro

The same snippet works in any tool that accepts an iframe: Notion, Confluence, Coda, or your own docs site. Publish once, embed everywhere.
